Burger King's meat tastes better, but I feel like 85% of the time I go there, the lettuce is wilted and the tomato is mush. I'd probably rate it higher than McDonald's if the vegetables weren't consistently slime-like.
This, more or less. BK makes a better burger, by and large, than McD's sterile machine-perfected blandish-but-OK quarter pounder. That said, you're taking a risk with the employees and the quality of everything other than the meat in the burger. When done right pretty tasty: when a bunch of slop you throw it away without eating it.

Culvers is big around here, but I'm apparently weird because it doesn't do much for me. I don't like their sweet buns and their burgers/fries/etc are all pretty bland regardless of what you put on them. It's generally fresh and clean, but unexciting: very midwestern all in all. I'd go to McD instead of Culvers purely for their fries, and I would risk BK instead of Culvers for a tastier burger. Unless I want ice cream there's no reason I'd choose Culvers. (And if I want ice cream I would probably go to DQ first)
