Several of the full-caster classes in 5e can do that kind of thing. There are lots of utility spells that can increase your party's attack rolls, armor bonuses, etc.

Bard and Cleric are the two I'd say are most like that, and their spell lists are filled with support options. I've never looked much into druids, but I imagine they're similar.

One of my favorite things to do on my sorcerer, though, is use Metamagic to twin-spell Haste onto two of my party members (as it's normally a 1-target spell and can't be upcast for more targets like Fly and such can be), so I get a shit-load of value for a single 3rd level spell slot. After that, I just throw nukes each turn lol
wizard is the best for support imo. so much flexibility in the spells
