I will say this. The past three episodes (and the Matthew medevac) have all been great specifically because they had time to breathe abd let the players develop as players and personalities. Even if advantages played major roles in the story, they were just tools for the players to use.

This is the problem with the pre merge failings though. The premerge is meant to be the point where the cast is bonding and developing as characters, so when the merge hits, the harder gameplay and blindsides carry weight, rather than just being all style and no substance.
