The conservative goverment of the last 20 years has been one of the worst governments of a 1st world nation in history.
That's not "worst X ever" internet hyperbole. I mean that literally, if you made a list of the top 10 worst developed nation Governents of the past 125 years, they'd be on there. Bottom 5 probably bottom 3, at least in terms of competency.
They've destroyed their healthcare system, crippled their infastructure, mortally wounded their education system, devalued the pound, hindered businsess and trade with their closest trading partners (WHO ARE LITERALLY NEXT DOOR!) and their broken prison system is on it's last legs.
They are taking control of (nearly) the entire media, making it boarderline state media. Daily Mail? GB News? Sky news? All in the right wings pocket? BCC? Guy in charge only got the job because he gave Former PM Boris Johnson 800,000 and has since made it shill for the Tories.
Sure there's the Guardian and LBC but they are fringe. They are the UK equivlaent of the Young Turks or ContraPoints
Inflation out of control, bills and costs rising at higher rates than ever before history but not salaries. Taxing for the wealthy going down down down down.
Liz Truss was in power as PM for 2 weeks (4 but Government was shutdown for half of it) and in 2 weeks of work managed to do 2 things:
1. Lift the cap on Bankers Bonuses 2: Cause billions of pounds of economic damage for no reason
And now she gets a 6 figure government stipend forever for her contribution to the country.
Over 50% of the staff in the medical or education feilds (which as we speak are hurrendously understaffed and underpaid) are planning to leave within the next few years as a career in unteniable.
They are the only nation in history who effectively have placed sanctions on themselves.... For absolutely no reason
They have removed human rights and privacy protections, effectively banned protesting/free speech and are furiously clawing at anti-trans/LGBT legilsation and foaming at the mouth at copying the GOP's voting rights restrictions whereever possible.
Go to towns or across half the UK and you'll find shopping arcades full of boarded up empty stores as no one has any money and business is impossible. Beer cans and trash all over the street. A whole new generation coming up in pure cynicism who either don't believe in anything or are being warped into the far right Andrew Tate/Ben Shapiro bubble.
It's sick, it's disgusting and as we speak the Tories are still refusing to hold a general election as they inch further and further into blaming Trans people and immgirants for all problems to rile up the masses.
There's really no way to sugar coat how bad the damage of the past 20 years has been and how it's going to negatively effect the lives of tens of millions of people for the next 50+ years.
Even if the Tories were booted out tomorrow, it's not like you can just "undo" Brexit, "fix" the NHS and Education and Prison and Transport and Economy systems that are all either on the brink of collaspe or have collasped.
The people waiting 4 hours for an ambulance while face down in a pile of their own piss from a heart attack who then when they get to the hospital are left on a bed in a hallway overnight without even seeing a doctor because there's no space in the wards because they had to close half the hospital due to lack of funds.... They're fucked. Their kids are fucked.
I mean how can you explain it any better than the fact the Tory had 2 ethics advisors back to back who both quit in fury because the party was so uenthical and ignored everything they said to enact unethical policies.... And the response was to remove the position of ethics advisor....
As we speak the Deupty Prime Minister who is a well known thug only just recenetly stepped down after years of bullying people (to the brink of suicide) and him + the other Tories' MP open response has been "Well bullying is fine, the victims need to stop being wimps and accept it."
