There are so many superhero-based animated series that its hard to imagine a time without them. However, it was X-Men: The Animated Series (along with Batman: The Animated Series, which debuted a few months earlier) that started the superhero cartoon boom. Even after Marvel filed for bankruptcy, the show still continued for another year being directly funded by Saban Entertainment rather than Marvel. Disney would later go on to acquire Saban Entertainment.

(12) What's This? (The Nightmare Before Christmas) --VS -- (13) The Bells of Notre Dame (The Hunchback of Notre Dame) - 9-13
