Yes, Tearlaments are that strong. The deck is so strong that the only ways to reliably beat it are to either use it yourself or build a deck specifically to counter it like Exosisters or Floowandereeze, and even the decks built specifically to counter it still lose more often than they win. The deck is so strong that it's had nearly a dozen different cards from the deck getting limited to 1 or banned entirely, and it's arguably still viable even after those hits. The deck is so strong that when Japan held a "no banlist" tournament where every banned and limited card was allowed to be used at 3, Tearlaments still won while using far fewer banned cards than other decks were using.

It is, without a doubt, the strongest deck that has ever been created in this game.
Dang, this why I prefer the older deck and my trusty blue eyes.
