Ok, Octopath has the most BS final boss ever

You have to beat 8 long boss fights first, but they're not really that hard... kinda pulling a Megaman here- YOU CAN'T SAVE OR LEAVE
You get surprised with the notion that you have to break up into two parties, without knowing who is doing whatBoss has an immortality mechanic, which isn't that hard to overcome if you spam items (BP up) and mass AoE... takes a long time due to having 500'000 HPOh, then the real final boss... with the second party only, (make sure you healed them up first... BEFORE YOU ENTERED THE DUNGEON... unless that's part of your strat (Olberic)Also has an immortality mechanic, but also has high enough speed to almost always go first to party wipe you if you didn't know BEFORE HAND that he would- Oh, did I mention you have to do all of this in one go?
All of this means each attempt at the final boss takes an hour outright
