SML2 aged horribly imo. I played it recently, and the level design is awful. The levels are just empty wastelands that you can run through, with no thought in the platforming (there is barely any actual platforming). They fill it with so many coins so it feels like there is something. But the few scattered enemies move slower than 1970s zombies. Wario's castle was the only good part, and the only part of the game where you can even die realistically.
