Every bartender I know where I live in Las Vegas, knows to give me a glass of water with every drink I order. The idea is to have at least 8 oz of water for every drink you have. Alcohol dehydrates you, and even worse once you break the seal and are constantly draining your body of fluids. It also helps to avoid bottom shelf alcohol as well.
