If they wanted to get people sympathetic to their cause then don't disrupt the lives of ordinary people, engage in meaningful dialogue with those in positions of power instead of random acts of vandalism such as spraying paint on buildings.

I know an Aston Martin dealership got that treatment in London, I was down there months prior so knew the building these environmentals vandalised.

If the colonists wanted to get people sympathetic to their cause they should have not disrupted the lives of ordinary people. Instead they were out there damaging British supply lines, dumping tons of tea into the river, and getting the rest of the colonies dragged into a war with Britain.
