Topic	Was WW1 the worst war to be a soldier in?

That makes it a contender for the war with the most deaths (with WW2 being the alternative) made up entirely from just the civilian death count. And yeah, WW1 would be the worst to be a soldier in. The Korean War also comes to mind as pretty awful, as does Vietnam. There are some pretty awful wars in Africa as well, though all of those tend to be bad because of things like weaponized raping and pillaging, and less about the soldier to soldier conflict (and that would then fall into the territory of WW2 being worse due to the Japanese front's exceptionally heinous take on their war with Korea). --- "A shouted order to do something of dubious morality with an unpredictable outcome?
