To investigate

https://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/family-demands-answers-after-missing-woman-found-dead-sunday/3218081/

Cliff notes:

Wife was working a new job as server st a bar when she didn't come home and didn't answer calls. Husband went to her work and couldn't find her so called police to file a missing person report, and was told it's not uncommon for women to leave a relationship with no warning and advised not to file. Ignores bad advice and files a report, and police match her license plate to a wreck they had "investigated" following a 911 call with a man arguing in the background. Police find car abandoned and tow it without even searching the area. Didn't notify any of her family though wife had several pieces of identifying information in the car. Family does a brief search of the nearby area and finds her body a short distance from the accident site.

I cannot imagine their grief and anger right now, the police blatantly didn't even put in any effort here. This frankly should result in criminal charges for dereliction of duty.
