a famous celebrity or non violent white collar criminal who has had an attorney involve early on in the process and that attorney has been in contact w the police DA and investigators and they dont consider them a flight risk, might very will be given the opportunity to do so.
this does occur more often in white collar crimes because the very nature of such an investigation involves document subpoenas which they then involve their attorneys early in the process and are non violent in nature.
in those situations the defendant is usually processed and in and out with bail by the end of the day. There is no reasonable thought why trump woild not get bail or be treated like this if the case proceeds.
if trump is physically arrested publically it will be because he forced that to happen for his own (in his mind) political gain.
