Also a minor thing I like in this game is that the journal will automatically save every banter you did or didn't see as you play through chapters. If you didn't have a specific character in your party for a chapter you can just see the banter you missed after finishing it. [LFAQs-redacted-quote] You don't have to. There's a returning character from the first game that's in two sidequests, but plotwise it isn't required.
