Zero Mission is my favorite 2D Metroid to pace through, but playing through Fusion again made me realise how good it is with how it keeps building up, creates a sense of suspense and mystery, throwing surprises your way all the time and its difficulty. It is more linear and story-heavy than most other Metroid games, but it's really well done here.
