There are Parliaments of Waves, of Trees, of Limbs, of Stones... and then there's the Gray. Miki is the mistress of the Gray, colonizers that spread their germination across every living being, spawning an infinite horde of spores which infect everyone everywhere. You are a sleeper agent of the Gray. I am. And so is Tefe Holland, daughter of Swamp Thing... and, technically, John Constantine. It was within the mind of Tefe Holland herself that Miki first emerged, the powerful spearhead of a waiting, sleeping, time-biding Parliament. Fungus, the antithesis of the Parliament of Trees, has filled much of Tefe Holland's mind. And this would be a perfect antidote to the Anti-Life Equation, capable of beating it back and holding a line with unflinching solidarity, were it not for the fact that Miki sees the Parliaments of Earth as nothing more than arcane, outmoded relics, ready to be absorbed into her own Phylum, her own order of things. There is an insidious inevitability to Miki's creepy, crawling infection as it encroaches not just in Tefe's mind, but potentially around the world. Anyone who stands against Miki has learned quickly that she is swift to anger - Lush nearly choked on mushrooms and lichen emerging like thick, white pus from her throat after her second confrontation with Miki. Roz'etta, too, has a connection to Miki - who in Martian and Saturnian mythology is the Goddess of Inevitability. And what is more inevitable than a kingdom of decay being the last parliament standing in a world ruled by Darkseid? Yet, even still, Miki in all of her inevitability is poised against the Anti-Life Equation. She is a bacteria. The Equation is a virus. The two are contrived to do battle wherever the clash - does that mean there is a shred of hope in Miki's presence? And is she truly within the walking corpses of everyone in Z'onn Z'orr?
