Yes, in the long term and order is eventually restored. But before which will be many many years of mass chaos before things inevitably stabilize.

Then wages would skyrocket due to low labor supply, less demand means cheaper products and goods. Also property values would naturally plummet of course. And this isn't even getting into the positives for the envirement.

It'd be post plague era Europe all over again essentially.
