What kind of living dex are you doing? The only officially recognized dex is completing the pokedex itself. I know some people do living dex differently. Some want them all lvl 99. Some want one lvl 99 and one untouched (lvl 1 if possible). Some want all shiny, or all regular and all shiny. Some need all versions of the Pokemon (Unown, Alcreamie, Spinda, etc).

I never got the desire for it, because who is going to want to randomly use a Gloom. Always seemed like the dex entries do the job, but to each their own. If I ever did it, I'd aim for all shinies.
