And while we're at it, you know what isn't stopping the powers that be from trying to make being queer illegal? Purity tests! They don't give a FUCK about purity tests. Purity tests aren't going to stop authoritarians from seizing power and putting you in a camp. It's more childish to latch on to your lost cause purity test just to sooth your ego and punish other people for being "wrong". That's not a way to make allies, at all.

On the other hand, it's also stupid to go "Well, I wasn't GOING to be anti-trans but now I'm going to do it SO HARD because you don't want me to do that." and it might be the most childish, knuckle dragging reaction to this.
