Especially considering that Miquella disappeared, stolen by Mohg, before Marika created Torrent. Miquella has power over dreams. The tree in the image is the Haligtree before it was split in half. Presumably the DLC takes place in a dream world, like the Hunters Nightmare in the Bloodborne DLC.
