People eat chilis all the time in food and don't jump through hoops about how they would totally hate them if they were by themselves. Just because you like something when mixed with other things doesn't mean that you dislike the thing.

The difference between thing like salt, sugar, and vinegar compared to things like water and onion is that the first group of stuff is usually considered ingredients and not eaten alone. While water and onions can be eaten (drank) alone. Water and onions can be used as ingredients, but can also be just consumed normally And as I said, for certain foods, people dont mind when you cant taste the foods. Most people who I know who do like to eat chilis in food do like to eat them without the food, as well Just in smaller quantities So, why would they need to jump through hoops. In that case, they just like chilis. With onion, it doesnt matter if its in a food as long as I cant taste it. Once I taste it, Im just done with that food. And in most cases, I cant taste it. Hence why I can like foods its in, even though I hate onions

So, no. I hate onions. I dont understand why you dont understand that. Its pretty easy to understand. I hate onions and the taste of onions. Just because Ive had in it stuff since like doesnt mean I like it. It just means I cant taste it. And thats fine. Because I dont like the taste (or the texture in most cases) If I could taste of smell it, I wouldnt like the food
