The grind isn't as bad as most MMOs, per se, but it is ever-present and brings fatigue all too often, despite Yoshida alleging that such design is terrible or disrespectful of people's time, or the devs saying it's totally OK to take a break from the game (lol).

Yeah, ironically I end up taking a long break away from the game, a LOT And by that I mean that I'll play it for around 3 weeks, and then barely touch it again for years. I'm Still not in Heavensward.

Edit: Also, considering how much of a grind the side content is almost every mmorpg is, even the better ones, is that really saying anything?

Ironically enough, my favorite currently active MMORPG is ESO, and the pve side stuff is interesting, and I don't think any of the side story content is a grind.
