So you can't use a Mystique to copy the ability of Rogue? Someone was playing a Patriot deck, used Patriot and then their own Mystique. I used Rogue to steal the Mystique ability, then tried to use my Mystique to, ideally, copy the ability of Rogue to steal ongoing, to steal that from the opposing Patriot?

Didn't work.

Rogue's ability is on reveal that changes to ongoing after she steals. Not sure why you thought Mystique who only copies ongoing to copy Rogue's on reveal effect to begin with.

You would want Absorbing Man, he copies the last played on reveal effect, but in this case wouldnt work either, cause Rogue becomes ongoing after she steals.

And for more info, for effect order it goes like this: Card is played, who ever has priority, which you can tell by the name glowing, those will reveal first. A card is not counted as played until it is revealed, and a card is only revealed after its on reveal effect finishes. So when you play Rogue, she reveals, activates her on reveal and steals an ongoing ability if there is one on your opponent's side, changes her text to that ability she stole and then becomes played. Then location effects trigger and then ongoing. So if you played Rogue into Bar Sinister hoping she would steal all of your opponent's Patriot buffs, she will only steal one and replicate as 4 Rogues that have the Patriot ongoing effect.
