I think a 50 years old dating a 18 years old is a recipe for disaster and you need to take account life expectancy or stages of life. Fertility if you want kids so no, I do not hold that view.
50 year old men can still have healthy children. Women cannot as they start to lose fertility at 40.

But yet people don't want girls to have sex until they are like 30 so they will have an even smaller window to have children.
