There is very little romance at all in the Witcher novels, and honestly Geralt isn't even the real protagonist of several of them Anyway I agree OP. The short stories are pretty good, especially the ones sold in the Sword of Destiny compilation. When it comes to the novels they are incredibly poorly paced.
