Topic	How are you supposed to merge into a single lane?

If everyone would actually do it it would be great: queues wouldn't stretch as far back into nearby intersections, there would be no winners and losers (i.e. early and late mergers) and thus less road rage, and it would be predictable/safe. But that's not human nature: some people want to be cautious and merge early and others want to get ahead. So it is what it is. I can see where people wouldn't like it, but the only alternative is merging way early and setting up the road rage/unpredictable queue scenario. --- Pronounced "Whup-pot". Say it.
