First off, I think that's a bad answer from the mod, and if that's popicy then it's a bad policy. I always wonder, how did people figure out Superman was weak to Kryptonite? Did he tell them? Did someone just happen to have some amd he seemee off that day and they put it together? How much experimentation would that take, anyway? It seems like someone must have broken his trust, right?
