Yeah, after two listens, I have to agree here. This is such a weird, unnecessary pace-changer that sticks out like a sore thumb. Yes, I like changes of pace, but they need to flow right. This does not. The album already had both upbeat pop and rock ballads, so it didn't need something like this anyway.

If you're going to cover a song from the 1920s, it's a bad idea to make it sound like it's from the 1920s. Take a cue from Led Zeppelin doing "When the Levee Breaks" and completely transform it into your own thing instead of utilizing intentionally bad audio.
