A few of the recent posts made me wonder - what have your habits been about deployment throughout the series? I know a lot of folks like to deploy less than the permitted amount to beef people up faster but I feel like I have enough trouble whittling down the characters I want to use even to the maximum allowance!

I'd say that usually I end up trying to rotate through, not the whole party, but a handful more characters than any given chapter actually allows. Using characters is fun!

Isn't that what optimum Awakening looks like? Like have 2 units paired up and spam Nosferatu or something.
That sounds like a really miserable way to play though. If I'm going to reduce a game to a pure numbers calculation, I'd rather just play Cookie Clicker.

Both of these sound accurate to me.
