A few of the recent posts made me wonder - what have your habits been about deployment throughout the series? I know a lot of folks like to deploy less than the permitted amount to beef people up faster but I feel like I have enough trouble whittling down the characters I want to use even to the maximum allowance!

I know lower deployment is a valid strategy depending on the map, but not something I can really do. I know it last me some bonus exp on a couple Tellius maps.

The only time I ever deploy less is if I have someone severely in need of levels and I'm making a moving bubble of defense around them to feed them kills. Viability for that veries depending on the map of course.

I always build a squad if 16, though. I think there was one game which capped at 18 for the final boss and I came up short there?

Obviously FE4 is a whole different ball game.
