I thought the thing was

* Guy does YT account where he works with actual sea turtles and does rescue stuff.
* This may or may not be a thing he should be doing (I'm pretty sure the original isn't glueing barnacles but I don't know enough about turtles or barnacles to judge).
* Bottom feeding clout chasers start faking it for dolla dolla bills, actively hurting the turtles.
* Don't need to know much to know land turtles don't get fucking barnacles.

Honestly I don't know that much either tbh
I only know that sea barnacles are non moving creatures that latch themselves on slow moving creatures or sometimes even boats. For every day people they're a nuisance because they damage ships, for animals like whales and turtles it's more of a mutual coexistence, if they latch on to turtles they might help the sea barnacles find food...
