As for the stuff I did watch
Agree with your bad points about One Punch Man - I still enjoyed it but qustioned what Season 2 can bring new so I didn't see it. Maybe someday but no plans for it currently

Tanya was fine, nothing special so being the in the middle of a list sounds good

Really enjoyed HxH but the final arc dragged it down a lot. It wasn't bad or anything, it just dragged forever (seriously it's like 45% of the whole show)

Made in Abyss deserves a top 20 list in every list (if not higher). One day I will watch the new season! but the first + movie were fantastic

And I do want to talk a bit more about Attack on Titan
I watched it a year ago so I have yet to see the second part of the final season as I am waiting for the final final part of the final season to air
And let me tell you - this is the first time in years that I actually really enjoyed something. I was obsessed to it. It's a feeling I didn't have for like...over 10 years or so? Like the days in which I was waiting for new chapters of Naruto/Bleach to come out and sometimes I even read them in shitty quality (raw) without translations because I couldn't wait.
So yeah, AoT made me realize I can still enjoy things. I just need to find them!

So seeing the low placement and score kinda hurt. And from reading the writeup and the Tanya one it feels like some of your problems with anime comes from...simply watching too much anime?
Like, it never bothered me in AoT that it's a "mecha anime". I never even thought about it!

Also it's not just the battles that make this anime so good (and they are fantastic) - it's the world building, the twists, the not being afraid to kill off characters, the hard decisions characters have to make...and the most important - the mystery
Trying to figure out the mysteries of the titans is something that you should do from the first episode. AoT is not like most popular and long shows that the author made things up over the years - in AoT everything feels like it was planned from the very beginning. There are so many hints everywhere and it was just pure fun to try and come up with theories and see what stick and what didn't at the end
The animation, the music, the openings and (sometimes) the endings are all masterpiece quality as well
It's the most popular anime on MAL for a reason
It's the (well, used to be, now it's 3rd) highest rated anime on IMDB for a reason

I would advice to give it another chance but seeing your top 10 I guess your tastes are too different to like this after all lol
