Greatly disliked Irozuku, though it's another one I barely remember. I was primed to be down out it right from the premise, though - why go back to modern day rather than spending time in the much more interesting future? So disappointing.

MiA S2 does lack some of the spirit of adventure that S1 had, though there is still some of that. What it gave me instead was incredible emotion. I cried a lot, particularly in the second half. Plus, the production values are just bananas in every respect. The direction is the best I've seen in any anime this year, or probably a few years previous. Sad we'll be waiting many years for more, but I'm quite happy with what we have.
