My thought process was always that Frank was exiled from Transsexual, because his behavior was too extreme, even for them, with Magenta and Riff Raff being his underlings that eventually got tired of his antics and just wanted to go back home. It really is the classis case of the "bad guy" being looked at at the "good guy" because of how charismatic he is.
