Les is a huge reason why I wanted to play bass.I saw Jerry was a Racecar Driver on Headbangers Ball in 91 or 92 and Ricky Rackman didnt know how to introduce them. Just the most bizarre stuff (Gus!) Im incredibly happy they got the recognition they deserve, even if it took a billion years. At least now most people have heard of them even if they dont like the music.

That being said Im not a super huge fan of his solo stuff. I know, I know, Ill probably burn in hell for saying that but aside from Sausage his side projects just arent nearly as good as Primus. I dont like how they tend to extend their songs live now and turn them into jam sessions. Their songs are great as they are, play em like that!

My favorite albums are Frizzle Fry and the Brown album. Brain is no Herb, but I always appreciated his straight forward groove. Kind of plays like Jay Lane, actually.
Nah dude, fair enough, I'm far less drawn to the solo stuff. It was still mindblowing enough live when I was 18.

Frizzle Fry is also my favourite (will never get enough of Seas of Cheese, Pork Soda or Tales from the Punchbowl either), and Brown album really grew on me a lot. Brain is nuts in his own way, but Herb is definitely my fave. Hopefully get to see him some day, I really liked the new album with him. It's also fun to see all of them do My Name Is Mud lol.
