If he opts in, I assume they will trade him. They may even move off Wiseman too. Moving Draymond and Wiseman for picks and vet minimums would save the owner like 100m+ or something. They would still be paying a crazy number like 350m or something though.

The fact that they are on track to spend almost 500m for a season (I think it was 481m when I quickly matched it out) when the cap is 123m is a joke (Apron will be like $138-140). They are basically going to be spending 4x the cap. Granted a lot of that is luxury tax.

And yeah people will say it only happened because they drafted 4 of their own core on huge deals which is fair. However, the other part of that is they are in this situation because the cap went up massively in the year they acquired Durant instead of eased in like it should have been. They then parlayed Durant into D'lo into Wiggins plus all the associated picks. If it was eased in they never get KD (Thanks player association! Gotta get all that money right this instant for the players right, consequences be damned)
