I've never read or watched more than five minutes of Harry Potter.

I'm 38 and most of my peer group has. I thought they were books for kids when they came out and just didn't pay attention to them. Now, the more people tell me to watch them, the more stubborn I get about not watching them.

Oh and Strangers Things. I think the concept feels patronizing to me. Like it is clearly a nostalgia cash in on people my age. My friends badger me about it constantly and again, that makes me more stubborn not to ever watch it.

I recognize all of this as a me problem. I don't care that people like these properties but they appeal to me as adult at less than zero.
