An old guy came on and no one got up. I got up (Being from London and all) and gave it to him. My friend got up with me and she seemed kinda surprised? Not sure what the culture is surrounding that in Japan, but I didn't really see people giving their chairs to others in Tokyo at least. I asked my friend that and she said she doesn't personally do it. Maybe its because she's female, since many females here in London don't do the same. The younger ones at least.
