Are you a narcissist who believes he can accomplish that? Or are you just trying to manifest something into being real? If it's the latter, one rule of thumb is to always speak in the present tense ("I am" or something similar). Personally, I try to describe, or at least imply, how I would feel/want to feel with those wishes if possible.

Examples:
"I have a beautiful and caring girlfriend who loves to spend time with me."
"I am gainfully employed with a fun and fulfilling job that rewards me with excellent pay for my excellent work."

The same can be said for one-time events, but use feelings. Instead of "I have won this contest", maybe something like "I'm so excited that I'm the My Little Pony trading card game champion" or whatever it is that you want to accomplish.
