I hate when a game has crafting in it and you inevitably reach a point where you need some exotic ingredient that you have no idea where to find. Oh, I need flippityboo ore? Where the hell do I find that?!

No More Heroes 3 has it, and as it's fairly avant-garde, so are its crafting ingredients. Baseball bats, movie posters, chicken feathers, snake skins, random things like that. Naturally, you get them by fighting aliens that don't look lime they'd have any of that stuff. And you use these ingredients to craft computer chips that go into the device you wear on your glove.

Though I think Control has the weirdest crafting ingredients, since it basically uses abstract concepts as its ingredients. Like, Intrusive Pattern or Untapped Potential.
