XB3: Postgame beated, at least as far as I'm willing to go for now.
Did the postgame quests and defeated all Unique Monsters. Getting all gems, upgrading all Soulhacker skills, and maxing out all classes are things I am passing on. Maybe some time down the road on a NG+.
TBQH, Nia should have been recruitable in Chapter 7. Nia's quest was good and I loved the scenes between her and Mio, both at the City and at the completion of the Ascension Quest. Melia's weren't bad but not at quite the same level. Weird to have the conclusion to the Agnus Castle "story" chain locked to postgame though (the bit where the rebels killed Ghondor's friend and relations with the City were tense) same with Triton just randomly having a quest in the City, but hey.
The unique battle theme for the Level 120 superboss was cool. Got him first try though. Weirdly, the one that gave me the most trouble of the superbosses was Perilwing, the giant bird in Aetia. I dunno if he just had brutal AoEs or was just a pain to get positions down or what but he got me like 5 times.
Guess that's that for now, at least until the DLC Waves come in. I haven't yet picked up the Expansion Pass but obviously I'll do that. As my crazy posts in the aftermath of beating the game showed, this game really, really touched me. I've read some fan speculation and interpretations and maybe I'm just mainlining copium/hopium with some of these theories but it's helped me reach something of a level of peace. At the least, the last time I just spontaneously started crying while thinking about the ending (still happening god) it felt less like I was being rent into two and more like hope. Still, Takahashi, please, have the story DLC be sequel DLC and give us the reunion of Mio/Noah and the worlds to officially bring the Klaus experiment to an end. Or look maybe I'll settle for you saying it happened in an interview. >_>

And now I feel stuck in a no-man's-land for what's next. You've got Trails to Zero soon and Chaos;Head not long after that. If I hadn't watched that extensive LP of Zero it'd be the obvious winner and I'd just wait until that release but because I have it's not urgent priority. Might switch back to my Steam WRPG backlog and try and complete the last one on that list with Pathfinder: Kingmaker but idk.
