The unspoken implication being the knowledge that Israel will strike the facility when it goes operational and Israel will be less concerned about the collateral damage from enriched uranium dust clouds rising from the crater of one of their bunker busters.

Of course it's a blink and you'll miss it lines at two or three points in a two hour movie.

At the end of the day, they are selling the idea that Tom Cruise is still flying top of the line state of the art fighter jets thirty years later and doesn't look like Val Kilmer who did the lame thing and stopped being a fighter pilot, so be cool and join the air force to be a pilot that will sit in a drone station in redacted and drop bombs on children half a world away.
