#45 Into the Breach

I've always wanted a puzzle game like this: super slow but tense. Where you can stare at the screen analyzing it, for 30 minutes, on the edge of your seat, carefully deciding what your next action is, until finally you bite the bullet and say "nope, seems like this is the best I can do, welp here goes." A game that embraces analysis paralysis.

In each level, you only have to survive for FIVE turns. That's such a great number of turns. It doesn't feel like a big time investment to play one more level, it's only 5 turns! And yet, if you're really enjoying the analysis, it might take you an hour anyway!

As you probably know, the game tells you exactly what each enemy is going to do on their next turn, one of the best innovations I've ever seen. It's so hard to go back to any other grid-based tactical RPG. This is so much fairer!

And, since you don't know what they'll do TWO turns from now, there's still a degree of randomness you have to be generally ready for. So, it's the best of both worlds!

Also some of the best UI ever in a game. Drool-worthy.

BEST LEVEL: They really did a great job on the volcano. So difficult and overwhelming, but still fair, always feels like you barely get through it. There's also a good level with a train IIRC.
