Only one more game is on the list, with Mario in the title... after THIS NEXT ONE!

#49 Mario Kart 8: Deluxe

I think the huge problems with the multiplayer racing genre are: (1) there's not much player interaction, and (2) the more experienced player will always win, which isn't very game-like. That's more like a test.

Mario Kart's infamous item system solves these incredibly well--there's massive player interaction, and, the more experienced player will *probably* win, but not always, and, it will at least be a *closer* race. Keeping the competition close, but not 100% random, is what makes a game a game, and not a pure "test".

So yeah, Mario Kart is generally good, but no other Mario Kart would be good enough to be on this list, except Mario Kart 8. Mario Kart 8 is way more polished and beautiful than anyone ever asked for. The music, the style, outstanding.

And there are so many masterpiece tracks that I'd consider all-time great racing game tracks. That Excitebike track??? I mean come on! So genius!!

BEST LEVEL: Mount Wario. I love the concept of a big adventurous trek down a snowy mountain, especially the ski slalom at the end. Also the music is all-time best.
