There's pretty decent public schools, in the suburbs where people actually support them want to support them.

Being serious this time, not true, at least in my experiences in Florida. Even the decent public schools were being eroded as far back as ten years ago. There was a huge push for charter schools, and a big wall to expanding and fixing public schools. My last year of high school my school was over capacity by 800 students, and understaffed because a lot of the older teachers saw the writing on the wall and got the fuck out before they drowned. This was in the suburbs.

The people are not supporting these schools. They keep voting for the same people who keep eroding them.
