I think it's a great idea. I know the shitbags that I had to deal with aren't trying to be a teacher. Plus its a government position that can go towards the 20yr retirement. We have a huge teacher shortage and funding problem already.

That said, my 4yr in the Army allowed me to go to college without and entry exam, and I could of been a Sherriff without going through their entry course.
