Premise: A mysterious creature has destroyed the moon, and it promises to destroy Earth too unless an odd request is fulfilled. The creature, Koro-sensei, wants to teach a high school class, and one of the students must succeed in killing him before the year is up.

The Good: I really like Assassination Classrooms concept. Koro-sensei is great, hes a fun character who plays the teacher role well. I also like that he has a stated weakness to that one material, not that it does much good for anyone. The students needing to kill him within a year is an interesting driving motivation. I also liked Irina, the hot teacher. She was a fun character too even if she didnt have the most depth.

The Bad: I really tried, but so far I haven't found the motivation to finish the second season. Every single student was aggressively boring. Any good moment I can remember from Assassination Classroom is related to Koro-sensei or Irina. The students themselves never do anything fun or interesting. I don't even remember the main dude's name but I'm pretty sure his whole gimmick was flying under the radar. Since the goal of this anime is for them to kill Koro-sensei, I was expecting them to train, to get to know each other better, and to strategize about how best to use their individual strengths to take him out. Instead, most of the time this felt like a basic school anime with a zany teacher.

Overall: Assassination Classroom should have been a great anime. It has an interesting motivation for the characters, and Koro-sense was a lot of fun. Sadly, the concept wasnt used as well as it couldve been, and the students were all really boring. Maybe the second season is better, I don't know. All I know us that I've dragged myself to the end of plenty of anime I didn't like, and somehow I just couldn't bring myself to with this.

(As you can see, tomorrow is basically a movie day. The current season has had some real duds so far. I didn't want to accidentally spoil anything for M4 and I don't remember when things central to its premise are explained. Sorry for the lame clues. I've seen so few standalone anime movies I doubt they're hard to guess regardless)
