8 Piece: Whoa, Buggy and Shanks backstory, sweet! Maybe we'll have a prequel series to watch in a few years lol. Nami is reminding me both of Misty and Haley Starshine, both of whom I'm fond of so I'm down with that. And Chouchou gets to make the save, that's nice!

The Ocean at the End of the Lane is the audiobook I snagged but I think I'm gonna send it back. Gaiman seems like a neat guy and I like his reading voice and I enjoyed Neverwhere, but I'm a day and a half in and there's already a dead kitten and a kid traumatized by seeing a corpse, I think it's not gonna be my speed. I'll reiterate that I'm looking for recs! (that my library will have >_>)

West of Loathing: Thought it was gonna be a 10 minute session and it turned into like an hour and a half. We've crossed the mountains now, and the enemies are starting to be actual threats. It seems like we're making some big progress on the main plot, narrowing down what's going on, but there's a lot of room left on the map and it doesn't FEEL like time for endgame yet, so IDK. Anyway, still fun.

9 Piece: Hey it's Usopp. He's one of the handful that I tentatively expect to be LESS to my taste than they were on previous attempts. (Sanji is in this category as well) This also means it's time for your favorite and mine, Captain Kuro! When I was a kid my little band of weebs all pushed our glasses up like him for a while.
