I doubt people selling themselves for auction is a particularly common plot point otherwise. 223 could potentially be Euphonium, which would be a damn shame because that show is incredible, but I expect there are other possibilities there. I liked Devil is a Part-Timer pretty well, and didn't dislike the serious parts, I thought they remained light-hearted enough not to detract from the comedy. It's still not a series I have strong feelings about though.
