He's not even a "true" redneck. His parents owned a bunch of car dealerships and he grew up wealthy. He's spoiled rich kid who probably never worked a real job, which would be fine if he didn't hitch his wagon to the blue collar crowd and try to co-opt their experience for his own in order to sell his brand. Makes him a massive hypocrite and poseur

Like I said, it's his gimmick. Not his truth. Well, being self-important and obnoxious might be true, but not the redneck part.
